A Southwest Michigan Cycling Club for any body on any bike!
The Pachyderm Pedalers are dedicated to promoting cycling as a sustainable and healthy lifestyle. Our mission is to inspire cyclists of all levels to embrace the joy of riding while fostering a community that shares a love for the sport.
Biking with friends provides greater opportunity to venture further. Destinations and distances that you might not tackle alone become achievable possibilities in a group. We are braver and safer in numbers, and rides are simply a whole heap more fun.

The fun people! Pedal and glide on any bike. Group stays together.
10-12 mph average pace
For those new to group riding this is a great place to start. No one will be left behind!

Pedal and socialize with this casual group. No drop.
15-16 mph average pace
Experienced group riders that will pause and gather at least once during the ride.
17-18 mph average pace
Strong riders with a pace that requires fitness. Riders may get dropped and need to find their own way back.
19-20 mph average pace
Pushing the pace each week and challenging each other. Riders will get dropped.
21+ mph average pace
"Recovery" ride for weekend racers. Pretty much like a race (Haha!) Extra time and distance are standard in this group. Riders will get dropped.
23+ mph average pace
We gather every other Tuesday, starting May 13th at 6:15pm and ride at 6:30pm (see our Ride Calendar). Ride at your own pace. Typical ride duration is 45 minutes to an hour. Total distance is 7.5 miles. As always, helmets are mandatory.
Opened in 2022 by the Whirlpool Corporation on their World Headquarters Campus, the Lakeview Trail has become a popular destination for off-road riding. Suitable for riders of all ages and abilities. The trail is single-track and requires a mountain bike or fat-tire bike.
For most, this is a casual, fun ride but if you're inclined to set the course record or stomp some jumps, you can do that too. We typically pause and regroup, once on the east side of the trail and again on the west side at the Lake Michigan overlook. Post-ride pints and pizza at The Livery is always an option for those interested.
The Beer:30 is an annual cycling event hosted by the Pachyderm Pedalers the first Saturday following Labor Day each year. This year's ride will be Saturday, September 6th. Participants ride 30 miles on country roads and enjoy tasting stops at several craft-beverage makers along the way. Proceeds support Cycle-Re-Cycle of Benton Harbor and their mission of "Improving lives through bikes, community and cycling"
